Nevin W. Knaub, formerly of Red Lion, entered into rest unexpectedly on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:06 AM at Pinnacle Health Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. He was the husband of the late Gladys R. (Olewiler) Knaub who entered into rest on April 12, 2008.

Nevin was born in Collinsville on March 30, 1927 and was the son of the late Walter E. and Olive M. (Sheckenbaugh) Knaub. He worked at the former Catepillar, Inc. in York as a Grinder Specialist, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a former member of both the American Legion Post 543 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1446 in Red Lion, and was a WWII United States Airforce Veteran.

He is survived by his two sons, Bradley N. Knaub and his wife Debra R. of Airville, Jerry L. Knaub of Windsor and two daughters, Annette Marie Tyson and husband Donald, Sr. of York and Sandra E. Rexroth and husband Gregory L. of Dallastown. He was the proud grandfather to ten grandchildren, Christy S. (Knaub) deGaray and her husband Shane, Bradley N. Knaub, II and his wife Elizabeth A. (Daugherty) , Katie A. Knaub, Brandy (Knaub) Phillips, Amanda Knaub, Jeremy Knaub, Zech Knaub and his wife Briget (Anderson), Lesley Rexroth, Melissa Rexroth Jamison and her husband John, and Allison Rexroth Brewer and her husband Mike, and 14 great grandchildren, Haley Jamison, Ava Jamison, Lillian Jamison, Gabrielle N.Knight, Kayla N. deGaray, Nicholas D. Knight, Kiley F. deGaray, Nevin H. Knaub, Spencer F. Knaub, Colby Phillips, Dillyn Phillips, Rylee Knaub, Lucas Knaub, Grace Knaub and Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his five siblings.

Viewing will be on Thursday, September 28th from 10-11 AM at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Nevin will begin at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. James B. Shuler, pastor of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at New Harmony Presbyterian Cemetery with a flag folding presentation offered by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.

Nevin was a great Father and grandfather. He enjoyed camping and bowling. He and his late wife, Gladys were snowbirds, traveling to Florida. Nevin enjoyed putting intricate puzzles together for others to frame as keepsakes and was very good at it. "If you could see me now, you wouldn't shed a tear. Though you may not understand why I'm no longer here. Allow Jesus to be your guide, His word will show you the way. So, please, don't cry! WE WILL MEET AGAIN SOMEDAY!"
