Love Emblem

Barbara J. (Wilson) Trostel , of Red Lion, entered into God's eternal care after a lengthy illness on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 8:30 pm at Rest Haven-York at the age of 75. She was the wife of the late Stanley R. Trostel who entered into rest on July 12, 2000.

She was born on March 29, 1942 in Shamokin, Northumberland County and was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Elizabeth J. ( Goheen) Wilson. Barbara graduated from high school and went on to two years of business school. She worked at New Concept , now located in Emigsville, PA. She was a member of Springvale United Methodist Church in Red Lion.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Tania J. Clinton of York, Craig R. Trostel and his wife Lori of Windor and Melinda "Lynn" L. Robinson and her husband Steve of Red Lion. She was the beloved grandmother to her eleven grandchildren, Joshua(Anna), Derrike ( Fiance'), Cassandra, Courtney (Justin), Bethany, Daniel Jones (Ginger), Melissa Jones, Sara Jones, Steven (Erika), Stephanie (companion, Brandon), Jacob, Kristin (Fiance', Jeremy) along with nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her great grandson, Weston Barnes.

Barbara will be cremated with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. There will be no viewing. A Memorial Service to Honor and Praise Barbara's life and burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens and will be private and at the convenience of the family. Rev. Don Alspaugh, pastor of White Rose Hospice will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to White Rose Hospice, 1412 Sixth Ave., York, PA 17403.

Barbara was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She cherished times spent with her family. She enjoyed crafts and sewing. She would make dolls from old socks, all sewn by hand.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call, I turned away and left it all. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, HE SET ME FREE. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, YOU WILL BE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER. WE LOVE YOU.
