Charles Leroy Wilson of Brogue passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at York Hospital at the age of 85. He was the husband of the late Dolores J. (Donagher) Wilson whom passed away on Feb. 3, 2015; they celebrated 66 years of marriage together.

Charles was born in Fawn Grove on January 1, 1931 and was the son of the late Chester M. and Mary A. (Wales) Wilson.

He worked for the former New Era Die as a steel filer; and was self-employed at Wilson's Aerial Service. He was a longtime member of Bethel UM Church; where he served as a Sunday School Teacher; was a choir member; evangelistic committee chairperson; he was a member of International Assoc. of Machinist. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and working at his farmette.

He is survived by two sons, Mike E.Wilson and his wife Terri of Brogue, Todd C. Wilson and his wife Lori of Brogue, three daughters, Linda S. Huffaker of York, Dawn L. Martinez and her husband Nicanor of Highspire, and Dru D. Allen and her husband Dennis of Brogue; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Howard Wilson and Kenneth Wilson; 2 sisters, Phyllis Axe and Lois Kuykendall and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by twin daughters, Jeanie and Janie, a daughter, Marcia, a baby Charles, and 2 brothers, E. David Wilson, Paul Wilson and two sisters, Betty Soders and Dorothy Coble.

Viewing will be on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 10 to 11 AM at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Charles will begin at 11 AM at the funeral home with Steve T. White and Dan V. Monahan officiating. Burial will follow at Red Lion Cemetery.
