Eleanora M. (Waltemyer) Dellinger, formerly of Brogue, went from life to Life Eternal on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 7:45 pm at Dallastown Nursing Center at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late H. Joseph Dellinger who entered into rest on February 14, 1998.

She was born in York on December 29, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Cora E. (Walker) Waltemyer. She and her late husband were the founders of the Collinsville Drive In, that was established in 1962, from where she retired in 1984. She was a secretary at Edgewood Arsenal, and after retirement from the drive-in she worked at the former Collinsville Discount Center and Maple Lawn Farms. She was a lifetime member of McKendree United Methodist Church in Airville where she taught Sunday School.

Eleanora had five daughters, Sandy J. Royer and her husband Timothy A. of Brogue, Patsy A. Brown of New Park, Linda M. Hake and her husband Glenn W. of Brogue, Shirl M. Jordan and her husband Paul W. of Airville and Wendy J. Dellinger of Rockledge, FL. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, David Royer, Douglas Royer and his wife Jill, Derek Royer and his wife Montie, Chris Brown and his wife Jacee, Melissa Steele and her husband Rob, Shelley Dettinger and her husband Todd, Chad Hake and his wife Becky, Travis Hake and his wife Noelle, Brandon Hake and his wife Desiree, Eric Jordan and his wife Jamie, Michael Jordan and his wife Megan, Bethany Kauffman, and 28 great grandchildren, she also has numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Waltemyer.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, September 27th from 5 to 7 pm at McKendree United Methodist Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville. A Service of Honor and Praise for Eleanora will begin at 7 pm at the church with her pastor, Rev. Gary L. Daugherty officiating, assisted by her grandson, Douglas Royer. Burial will be private in McKendree UM Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Eleanora loved to shop and she enjoyed crafts, ceramics and embroidering. She was a very special lady who was always there when someone needed help, to make a meal, to clean or to help in any way she could. She had a very special fondness for her Son In Laws and always enjoyed the times they were all together.
